DAY 1 ITINERARY

A bright and sunny morning begins with a delicious breakfast at your guesthouse before your unforgettable adventure starts. Our guide will pick you up around 9:00 AM to begin your journey. You will float down a calming river, pass through lush rubber plantations, and hike toward the majestic entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park.

Once you enter the dense jungle, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to spot the rare Sumatran Orangutans in their natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you might see them swinging from the trees or tenderly caring for their babies. This peaceful and awe-inspiring moment will stay with you forever.

Next, the journey continues through the enchanting tropical forest. Enjoy a refreshing snack of tropical fruits while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. Then, you will ascend again, trekking for about an hour to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Bohorok River valley, with the magnificent Gunung Leuser National Park in the background.

Lunch will be served in the tranquil forest, before you continue on to your overnight camp. Along the way, don’t miss the chance to encounter various wildlife, such as Long-tailed Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, Thomas’s Leaf Monkeys, and even exotic Monitor Lizards!

Around 4:00 PM, you will arrive at your campsite, situated near a waterfall or beside a peaceful river. Relax with a warm cup of tea or coffee as you absorb the beauty of your surroundings. You can also refresh yourself with a swim in the crystal-clear waters, while your guide prepares a delicious dinner of curry, rice, and other local delicacies.

After a satisfying meal, it’s time to unwind by the campfire. Enjoy a cozy chat or a fun card game with your guide, all while listening to the soothing sounds of nature. End the day by settling into your sturdy jungle tent, protected by a bamboo frame and plastic sheets, as the tranquil forest sounds lull you to a peaceful sleep.

DAY 2 ITINERARY

After a peaceful night, wake up feeling refreshed and enjoy a homemade breakfast in the heart of the pristine rainforest. Breathe in the cool air and take in the natural beauty surrounding you.

The adventure continues with further exploration into the jungle, trekking for 4 to 5 hours in search of even rarer wildlife, such as mysterious forest turtles, the elusive White-handed Gibbons, or the graceful Great Argus bird. The vibrant rainforest, teeming with life, will continue to captivate you at every step.

After your final lunch in the forest, your journey will come to a refreshing and exciting end: the “Jungle Taxi” will take you back to Bukit Lawang via a traditional river raft along the clear Bohorok River. Feel the thrill of gliding through the cool, challenging waters!

Between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, you will return to the guesthouse with unforgettable memories and experiences. A journey that will stay with you forever!
